Vine development

March

After grafting the scions and rootstocks, the vines are paraffinized, packed with peat and watered. The crate is then covered with perlite to retain moisture and reduce evaporation.

May

Planting in the field: After indoor-forcing, the vines are planted in specially constructed foil dams. The soil is loosened, milled and fertilized to create optimal growing conditions. Drip irrigation provides the vines with an ideal water supply. Regular watering is essential, especially in the first few weeks after planting.

July–September

Vegetative growth phase: After planting in the field, budding takes place in the summer.
The vines develop strong shoots and leaves. Regular care includes fertilization, pest control, pruning and soil loosening.

November–December

After extraction, the vines undergo sorting and quality control. Then the remaining vines are pruned and paraffinized. Ready for planting they are stored in our cold warehouse until the next planting season begins.
